"We all are searching for purpose and meaning in our work and in how we spend our time. We want to make a difference. Viewing student tasks through the lens of authentic transfer has changed my purpose as an educator. It has pushed me to view the work we do as something larger than just performing algorithms and knowing information. I will now work to plan lessons and tasks taking into consideration on how each will impact the individual student - how will it motivate, inspire, and give purpose and meaning. This work is a gift not just for my students but for me as an educator. It has given me new purpose, new meaning - a new passion!"
